About this place
Motsunabe is the natural centrepiece at Imanari. Some diners have also mentioned ordering fried rice and spring rolls alongside the hot pot. The menu lists motsunabe at ¥1,300 per person, followed by a choice of rice porridge (¥380) or noodles (¥280). It is easy to shape the meal around the group and the kind of final course you fancy.
For a substantial meal beyond the hot pot, there is horumon soba, yakisoba with sauce and fried rice. Chicken nanban and fried chicken are among the fried dishes that work well for sharing over drinks. To start lightly, try smashed cucumber, potato salad or menma dressed with chilli oil. This izakaya suits both a relaxed evening of small plates and drinks and a longer meal that moves on to hot pot or noodles.
